Who doesn’t love a mystery? Whether we’re binge-watching a series on Netflix or turning book pages late into the night, we are driven by the desire to uncover clues and figure things out. Many of these stories revolve around a central figure, the protagonist, who works to solve the mystery and save the day.
The Bible is one of my favorite mystery books. From the opening words of Genesis to the final chapter of Revelation, God’s Word is filled with tantalizing clues, fascinating revelations, and an extraordinary plot. Many of the Bible’s mysteries have nagged at our imaginations for centuries. There are odd characters, dysfunctional families, bloody battles, and courageous heroes yet incredible wisdom within the writings. And readers ask, Who is this mystifying protagonist called the Messiah, the Redeemer who will come to save the world?
Mysteries of the Messiah will help you unlock some of these mysteries. You will learn not only about the Messiah but also how the Bible reveals Him and unveils His intense love for you and His relentless pursuit of redemption for all.
Connecting the Old Testament with the New Testament is essential to this book’s investigation into the mysteries of the Bible. The catalyst is Matthew 13:52: “Every Torah scholar discipled for the kingdom of heaven is like the master of a household who brings out of his treasure both new things and old.”
Each chapter of Mysteries of the Messiah will spark connections between the old and new. As this happens, you will begin to see Scripture in high definition, gaining a clearer understanding of the Messiah and a new perspective on how His story flows through all the Bible. Like the disciples on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24), throughout this book, you will learn these connections and will experience an unraveling revelation that will cause your heart to burn with increased hope and blessing. This revelation will cause a fiery yearning for Yeshua the Messiah. It will give you a passion for the Torah (the first five books of the Old Testament and Hebrew Bible) and a desire for the Brit Hadashah (New Testament)—a combination that ignites transformation and renewal within followers of Yeshua.
In essence, my friends, this book is about the Messiah and unveiling the factual story that He is not merely a New Testament, end-times persona. Instead, the Messiah and the mysteries wrapped around Him are found throughout the entire Bible, starting in Genesis and ending in Revelation.
I hope Mysteries of the Messiah will bring you insights about the Redeemer and how He can be discovered in the many connections throughout the Old and New Testaments. It’s my earnest prayer that the uncovering of these mysteries will give you eye-opening moments and new ways to reflect on your life and the Messiah who came to die for you, live again for you, and give you incredible hope for a future with Him.
Baruch HaShem! Praise God!
Many blessings to you!
