About Fusion Global

The entirety of Scripture points to Yeshua – Jesus.

It is in looking back at what God has done that we can see forward to His future plans for us. “For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” Jeremiah 29:11 This is what Fusion Global is.

At Fusion Global with Rabbi Jason Sobel, we want to add definition to your faith in Yeshua-Jesus as we restore the lost connection to our ancient Hebrew roots and rediscover our forgotten inheritance in Him.

If we could learn how important Jesus felt these festivals, traditions, and old testament teachings were, we would grow to understand how important they should be to us as followers of Yeshua.

By expanding our understanding of prayer and scripture to include ancient Hebrew and contemporary wisdom informed by the Spirit, we can enrich our perspective of Yeshua (Jesus), His teachings, and His disciples.

Who is Rabbi Jason Sobel?

Raised in a Jewish home in New Jersey, Rabbi Jason Sobel dedicated much of his life to finding truth. After years of seeking and studying, he encountered the Lord and found his true destiny as a Jewish follower of Jesus (Yeshua). Rabbi Jason received his Rabbinic ordination from the UMJC (Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations) in 2005 and has a Bachelor of Arts in Jewish Studies and a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies. He is the author of several books, including his most recent book, the nationally bestselling Mysteries of the Messiah: Unveiling Divine Connections from Genesis to Today and just released, Rabbi Jasons and Kathie Lee Giffords new book The God of the Way–A New York Times and USA Today Best Seller!

As described in Luke 4:14-21, Messiah’s ministry kicked off with giving a public reading of the Jewish scriptures! If the Torah reading was central to the worship of Yeshua and His first-century followers, should it not be central to our worship as well?

Jesus’ death and resurrection hold the key to our victory. As our sacrificial lamb, He conquered sin on the cross and overcame the power of death when He rose from the dead. But there’s more to the story.

The Passover Lamb is our Risen Lord | Holiday Mirrors

We see Passover’s "core purpose" in Exodus 13:8, "You are to tell your son on that day saying, 'It is because of what Adonai did for me when I came out of Egypt.'" In a previous "Holiday Mirrors" article, we briefly discussed how communal storytelling finds its zenith in Passover. We can say the same regarding the traditional liturgies of Easter (and the lead-up to it).

Names of God

El Shaddai – God Almighty…but there is more

El Shaddai appears in the Bible seven times, or as just Shaddai an additional forty-one times. English translators typically (and conveniently) render El Shaddai as “God Almighty.” Its meaning is murkier and will require some verbal archaeology to uncover. Moreover, it is one of the few biblical names of God that is virtually absent from the Jewish liturgy, only finding its place when we read Psalm 91:1 in the evening service, “He who dwells in the shelter of Elyon, will abide in the shadow of Shaddai.”

Connections

Winnie The Pooh and Purim

In Jewish thought, depression is seen to be one of the most dangerous and destructive forces in our spiritual lives. It is a curse that cripples us. Depression can rob us of our ability to love and serve God and others. We are in the midst of the Purim season, which is supposed to be one of the happiest times on the Jewish calendar. It’s a time of great simcha (celebration). Joy is to abound during this holiday and the entire Hebrew month of Adar. Esther 9:22 refers to this time as “the month which was transformed from sorrow to joy.”
